For me this image is telling me two stories and so could have two titles Kundalini awakening or The River of Life.
1) No matter how distressing and violent times may appear on the surface of life, ultimately our divine essence remains calm and untouched flowing without resistance towards the great cosmic ocean where all of life’s illusions fade away.
2) An Awakening of the Kundalini Energy. At first the serpent may not be visible to you but once you discover it (if you do ) it becomes the main focus of the image. Following down the serpents (snakes) body you may see how it is emanating from the head of what appears to be an armoured figure. Maybe this is another visual metaphor for a spiritual warrior, I use warrior in a non violent context). If like me up till a few months ago, you don’t have any clue what Kundalini is I would ask you to do your own investigation on it and reach your own conclusions. Never forget all my artworks can have many meanings, so you are welcome to embrace the above idea or replace it with what you see.
